Product Description Stay cool with Logitech's Digital Precision PC Gaming Headset. The cushioned headset fits behind the head and features a unique open-air design that keeps your ears cool and comfortable over extended gaming sessions.Take advantage of pure digital audio with the included plug-and-play USB adapter, or connect the dual analog 3.5 mm jacks to your favorite soundcard. A noise-canceling microphone puts the focus on your voice by reducing background chatter, and the in-line volume and mute controls give you instant access to audio adjustments in the heat of the action.

Good Product October 15, 2008 Everything works as described. The fit is good, they stay in place and don't hurt my ears at all.
easy to use, works well, just doesn't *fit* well October 3, 2008 I'm in higher education and purchased this headset to use on my MacBook Pro to record voice/speech into GarageBand and Audacity. The headset arrived today, and I just finished trying it out in GarageBand. Some initial observations:
- I took the headset out of the box, attached the USB connector, and plugged it into my laptop, where I had already opened GarageBand. GarageBand immediately recognized the new device, and asked me to confirm that I wanted to use it as my sound input. Easy!
- I recorded some short clips of myself speaking -- on the first playback the volume was low, but once I adjusted the volume control on the headset, it was fine. The sound quality was definitely an improvement over the built-in laptop mic, but I'm not sure if it outperforms a less expensive headset.
- My first recordings were in a quiet office, which wasn't the best setting for testing the sound-canceling, but the mic didn't pic up any background noise (from my laptop, for example). Later, I tried recording again in a computer lab where there was other activity (typing, fans, quiet background conversation) and the mic did seem to help block that out.
- Many of the comments are about comfort. Since I'm not going to be gaming or wearing the headset for long periods of time, comfort is less of an issue for me. I do wish that the headset were adjustable -- it's one solid piece and seems to assume that everyone's head is the same size. I have a smaller-sized head, and it slips right off if I don't rest it on top of my ponytail.
To sum up: - super easy to use and compatible with MacBook Pro/GarageBand - sound quality is good -- certainly much better than the built-in mic - might be a little pricey just for basic podcasting - headset isn't adjustable, so you sort of have to hope that your head is the right size
DO NOT GET IT September 13, 2008 barely picked up any noise at all, made sure it wasn't muted, on the wire and virtually, and still picked up next to nothing. by day 2 it gave me a blister on my ear from the foam pads, and it completely stopped working the next day. BestBuy wouldn't take it back, so I was screwed. Paid $50 and it is a piece of junk! DO NOT BUY IT.
Not wise to buy this headset August 6, 2008 The reason I gave it two star is that its quality is acceptable, but to me a headset has to be "comfortable", that weighs the same if not greater than the audio and microphone quality. This headset is extremely uncomfortable. I can never wear this headset longer than 30 min because it really bothers my ear. I only wished I read reviews then money wouldn't be wasted
comfort April 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
microphone quality -- good hearing -- good comfort -- bad I like the design and sound quality of the headset. It's just that it goes around the back of the head and not over the top of the head that makes it so uncomfortable. At least if you put the headset over the top of the head, the weight of the headset would be resting on your head, but as it is right now, cupping the side of your head with nothing to hold it up but the skin of your head, makes it uncomfortable for me because it pulls down on the skin at the side of my head. I have a buzz cut, so maybe that is a factor, but still it hurts. I think even if I grow out my hair, it would still drag the skin down on the side, so I don't understand how I would wear it for like a few hours (5 minutes is bad enough). It works beautifully on every other factor, just this factor. It's uncomfortable enough to make me wish maybe I should have bought another headset. Maybe it will "grow" on me with time, but I really don't think I'll get used to this uncomfortable "dragging down" of the skin around my ears. Why couldn't logitech just re-design this part and it would have been perfect for me.
