great price on rechargeables October 24, 2008 These batteries were a great price and were delivered to me in an extremely speedy fashion.
Not worth the time you spend charging them October 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
In an effort to go more green, I decided to buy these batteries and their associated charger. For all intents and purposes, the charger seems to work very well, but these batteries are the worst. When I first bought the set about three months ago, I could charge the batteries and have them last for a very long time in my electronics. Now, I can fully charge them on one day, and by the end of the next day (in a remote control), they are dead. We're not even talking about a digital camera. I've used the same batteries in household clocks with the result of them dying after only 2 weeks. And forget about putting these things in a Wii-mote. I know that all rechargeable batteries discharge their energy over time, even if not used. But these Energizer rechargeable batteries seem to lose their energy faster than any other brand I've used. I would not recommend these for anyone looking for good rechargeable batteries. It can drive someone to not being green in this area.
deserves a minus ten . . . August 28, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Avoid these batteries!!!!!! They are so bad they deserve a rating of minus ten. My experience is similar to many others. Good initial performance, and then after a while these bloody Energizers can't hold a charge. Unfortunately before I discovered how crappy they really are, I bought a bunch of them, for use in my digital cameras and camera flash units. When these babies fail, performance falls like a lead balloon. They might have enough power to operate a remote control unit, but you can forget about powering anything with a major power draw.
Unfortunately Energizer is extremely successful at getting stores to stock this junk. I get real annoyed whenever I see them on display, because it reminds me of all the money I wasted. They seem to be available everywhere, a constant reminder of a disaster. How does a product that is so bad, get such great distribution and remain available for sale? Energizer probably gets off easy, because it takes a while for their batteries to go bad. By then, it's less likely that people will complain or return them. Blasting them wherever I can is like therapy for me. Believe what you hear people, these batteries are terrible!
As an alternative, I have been very satisfied with the performance of Ray-O-Vac Hybrid cells, both the AA and AAA sizes. Take a look at them.
Don't Waste your Money - stay away! August 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought 16 of these batteries at 2 different times. I recently purchased a La-Crosse BC-900 charger thinking I could recover them, but they still self discharge to less than 1V in as little as 2 days, and always less than 1 week.
I have much older Energizer 1700 mAh batteries and even older (about 10 years old) Sony batteries (1600 mAh and 1450 mAh) - all hold a charge longer and work better than these 2500 mAh Energizers.
These are no good - stay away!
Great for Wii April 21, 2008 these batteries are great for the wii. Tehy will work for 3 to 5 days and then I just change them for a fresh pair. I use the slow charger I have 10 bateries for 3 controls and I'm never out of bateries.
I think these batteries are primarly for toys.
