Good Stuff! November 30, 2008 This is win, win. The music is excellent and for a great cause!! Thanks much to all the artists!!!
Well worth the effort! November 29, 2008 Of course I needed to purchase this recording, for I have been a long time follower of Don Imus (since the days of "Moby Worm"). That aside, I wasn't sure what really to expect aside from a few good cuts and probably the rest one-listen-and-that's-it selections. However, I am very pleased with the entire album. Being a folk-musician, I find myself to be quietly critical of what I'll listen to and what I think just isn't worth suffering through...yet this is an album I'm giving out for holiday gifts, and that I've listened to maybe 50x since it arrived. I don't think you could go wrong picking this one up. (Even Lucinda Williams, who typically sounds like a crack-ho w/a microphone, and even tries a little too hard to sound "country" here, still has me going back to that track to hear Willie's old song again). Thank you, Don.
Imus Ranch Record November 29, 2008 I think this record is great. The songs are an incredible collection of talent. I think everyone will love it!I also like the fact that my purchase helped kids with cancer have some sense of "normal fun."
1950 Fordman November 29, 2008 Wow, the sound quality of this CD is fantastic. I know my wife is going to get tired of listening to it as I play it in our Ford Explorer XLT, over and over.
