Whitney Design 1600 12-line Outdoor Umbrella Clothesline September 1, 2008 I am very happy with the outdoor clothesline. The item was shipped quickly and arrived in good condition. The installation instructions were easy to follow. I would recommend the Whitney Design 1600 12-line Outdoor Umbrella Clothesline to anyone thinking of buying an outside clothesline.
Worth the money August 6, 2008 It's been so long since I hung any clothing to dry outdoors I forgot how stiff they can get. But, anyway, this has been a great product.
Got it about a month ago, followed the installation directions, and everything works as promised. I've never put more than three loads of clothes on it, but it would probably hold four.
Because it's an umbrella version of a clothesline, I have found that I need to balance out the really heavy clothing, like the towels and so forth. But otherwise, I've had no problems with this clothsline.
My dryer used to send the dial on my power meter spinning like crazy. It has been a real pleasure knowing that I can dry my clothes for free now.
solar clothes dryer August 1, 2008 this one is more solidly built than the last one. it is all metal, where the one that broke had plastic hinges. this makes my electricity bill about $50.00 cheaper each month, & i'm killing the earth a little bit less. it also could have been about a foot taller. i am only 5'4" tall.
easy to us July 9, 2008 handyman said it was easy to install; I have found it easy to use. I'm so glad that I bought one that spins.
A Positive and Critical Review of Whitney Umbrella Clothesline July 8, 2008 This is an excellent item, but needs one improvement which is a push button lock between the two poles so they don't come apart unless the button is pressed. You find these on some beach umbrellas.
