Buy for the photos--not the content January 1, 2009 The author seems to be vaguely familiar with the Twilight story, and tries to (creepily) appeal to younger readers with his own commentary on the story. He seems to have written based on his reading of various book reviews, not the actual book. I would have also liked to have read more (or any) cast interviews, instead of droning on with Catherine Hardwicke and the stunt director. As everyone has said before, the photography in this book is amazing, and they definitely knew their target audience, as about 80% of the pics feature Rob Pattinson. That didn't hurt my feelings, though. :) But if you love looking at pictures of the movie, this is great!
Great Photos--Innacurate Content January 1, 2009 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The photography in this book is amazing. The problem is that the author is no "Twilight" expert. From incorrect spelling of Emmett's name, to saying that Carlisle's father was a Catholic priest. His father was a Protestant. It is a shame that one of the multitude of "Twilight" addicts was not the author of this book as at least it would have been accurate and a little more interesting.
Buy it for the photography. It reminds me of the movie itself in the capacity that it provides a great visual for the books. Meyer is such a great author. Hopefully the next movie and movie guide will do her fabulous writing more justice.
Love it! December 30, 2008 Have to say I only bought this book to push my order up to free shipping, but it turned out to be a good book. If you enjoyed the movie (and you think Edward is hot) you will like this book. Lots of great pictures and facts about the making of the movie.
Only one thing I'm not happy with. December 30, 2008 It seems that I'm the only one that noticed that they spell Emmett wrong the whole way through. They spell it Emmet not Emmett! every single time! But apart from that, It's very good and you see things that aren't in the movie.
Must Have For Twilight Fans! December 29, 2008 Ok ok, so I got sucked into the whole Twilight mania after reading page 1 of the first book. I totally admit it! But truly, this series is AMAZING! When I found out there was going to be a movie, and then found the movie companion book? I knew I had to have it. I think I liked it more having purchased it before the movie came out, as it gave me sort of a "sneak peek" of it. I'm not sure if it would have had the same value to me after, but that's just me. Regardless, the book is really great!
